Greased Lightning 1
After planning the whole thing, we started on the song 'Greased Lightning'. My role was to play key board for the melody part. At first, it was really hard for me since the sheet music was not correct. So I had to listen to the music and find the notes I think it's right. After finding the notes, it was okay. The practice is going well. I think I need to talk about some parts with the kolintangs.
Greased Lightning 2
For few weeks, we have been working on the song named 'Greased Lightning' which is the hardest. My role in the song is to play piano for the melody. On June 1st we actually finished the song. So we aren't playing 'Greased Lightning' anymore until we are done with the other two songs. We didn't even start the movements. I think 'Greased Lightning' is successful but it took too long to finish it. Technically we're not done with it yet because of the part where the song ends. Also the singers need a bit more harmony to make it a lot better.
Candy 1
From June 1st, we fully started with the song 'Candy'. We have been practicing the song but not fully. Since we just started to practice the song, we had a lot of things to improve and improvise. We needed the kolintangs to be faster to keep up with the song since they are slowing the song slowly but surely. On June 1st we didn't have Haseef who is a main vocal of 'Candy' so Adam had to sing it alone. That day I got a new role which is to play some chords on the keyboard. I don't know what chords I need to play exactly but I know it's a major part for harmonizing the song.
Candy 2
On June 3rd, we finished the song 'Candy'. I was told to do a part on the piano but I don't exactly know what to do. So I just stood and do nothing and sing 'Candy' when Adam had bad voice. I like the song 'Candy'. I memorized almost the whole song lyrics. Maybe I should join the back up singers for 'Candy' if there is a part where back up singers are there.
Waving Flag 1
On June 4th, we finally started on 'Wavin' Flag' by C'naan. I really like the song. My role is to play kolintang for it. I know the whole notes but I guess we won't use the whole notes because our role is to harmonize some parts. I like the part where Ibu. Megan taught us which is the chords. Kolintang alone in that part is lame but with the other musical instruments and singers, it sounds really good.
